Maniacal Movie Poster Monday #228!
Emma Mae (PRO International Pictures, 1976)
The second feature film for producer/director Jamaa Fanaka (The Penitentiary series), this seems to have gotten more play - both theatrically and on VHS - as Black Sister's Revenge. In any case, I haven't seen it, but I'm always interested in Fanaka's movies, so I'd definitely like to.
The Slasher (Lippert Pictures, 1953)
A great title and poster - dig that crazy blade handling - but not one I'm itching to see - despite a young and no doubt fetching Joan Collins in the cast.
The Cosmic Man (Allied Artists Pictures, 1959)
That's three for three not seeing for me. Of the three movies, this is the one I'd most like to see - because I would like to say I've seen everything John Carradine ever acted in.
Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

I always found Fanaka a fascinating guy. I think he made most of his movies while he was a student at UCLA film school.
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible. I picked up a set of all of the Penitentiary movies on DVD at Wal-Mart - and I'm actively looking for his other movies now.
