Saturday Night at the Movies 2/2/13!

Who cares what picture we see?

If Chris Elliot does, he's hiding it well. And since it is indeed the day in question today, I'm picking this one on his behalf:

I wouldn't normally have gone with comedies two weeks in a row - but it is February 2nd - so what other choice could we have?

I think this is a very funny high concept flick - and we could be watching it streaming live from Netflix - and let the ol' Blu-Ray/VHS combo player take the night off - even tonight, the most appropriate time - if you wanted to come by!

Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

  1. This is one of my favorite comedies. Back in the day we bought this on VHS and must have watched it 20 times at least. It's the kind of movie you want to see over and over again...at least I do. Lots of great scenes (piano playing, suicide sequence, taking a shower) I absolutely love the Ned Ryerson scene and many ways it plays out. Stepping into the water puddle = hilarious. This movie is an actor's dream.

    1. It is indeed an actor's dream - but I wonder if it was difficult to perform in - as they would have shot every iteration of every repeated scene at the same time (or, if they didn't kudos to director Harold Ramis for getting the movie done on schedule). Imagine having to do all the Ned Ryerson scenes in one or two days ad infinitum...

  2. One of the greatest and most intelligent comedy flicks ever made. THE highlight in Murray's awesome career.
