Maniacal Movie Poster Monday #107!






The Wizard of Gore  (Mayflower Pictures, 1970)

Herschell Gordon Lewis strikes again with this batcrap crazy gore flick about a stage magician who performs gory illusions on female audience members - who then turn up dead the same way some hours later! I rather like this one because it's just so damn weird! It's Goresploitation!











Fast Lane Fever  (aka Running on Empty)  (Cannon International, 1982)



I haven't seen this Ozploitation racing drama - but after watching the documentary Not Quite Hollywood I sure want to!










Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS  (Cambist Films, 1975)



Hat trick! This one is Nazisploitation! Another one I haven't seen - and I'm kind of sorry about that - as it would have been neat to rent from some local video store on VHS. I'll still check it out given the chance - but a cleaned up Blu-Ray is going to deduct slightly from the grindhouse charms this would have had on videocassette.

    Craig, where do you find these posters? They are amazing. Goresploitation! Nazisploitation! Yep. I would love to see the Nazi one for sure. You are absolutely right about the blue ray.

      My misspent youth is a big factor in a lot of these posters! You might be scarred permanently if you check out Ilsa - notice the upper right corner - the X rating - it gets pretty salty during its running time...and it's not all sex and nudity! Caveat emptor! And cheers, Luana!

    She Wolf of the SS...I LOVE it!! You have to see it. What a cheesefest, so exploitative, but hilarious. I want to see that first one, I love those gory black and white pics.

      I really want to - and noodle around with the idea of trying to glom onto the VHS on Ebay or something...if we get the Imaginarium/LGOOH Film Festival to happen - The Wizard of Gore will be on the docket!

    Never seen ILSA, but heard lots of awesome things about it. I will definitely check it out soon. Nazisploitation ftw!! :D

    Never heard of "Fast Lane Fever" before. Got a goofy title here: "Mike in 3,8 auf 100", which means that Mike gets from naught to hundred in 3,8 seconds :D

    Seen all of Herschell's horror films, except that one. Me lame :/

      Nazisploitation ftw indeed! I love the Fast Lane Fever title - Mike is one fast driver! And we can plug The Wizard of Gore in to our film festival as well!
