Maniacal Movie Poster Monday #24!

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!

Let's see what movie posters we can find to help us celebrate our Independence Day...

1776  (Columbia Pictures, 1972)

A musical about our Founding Fathers that is a stage perennial - brought to the screen with an impeccable cast.

Jaws  (Universal, 1975)

Jaws can fulfill so many functions for the movie blogger - and the movie's scene set during Amity's busy July 4th holiday makes the poster a terrific addition to this theme party!

Uncle Sam  (A-Pix Entertainment, 1997)

Because it's this blog, we have to get a little out there, and this horror flick from writer Larry Cohen and director William Lustig, concerning a overpatriotic Desert Storm soldier who rises from the dead after being sent home, then dresses up as Uncle Sam and kills anyone he feels is less than 100% American certainly fits that bill. It's not anywhere near the same filmmakers' Maniac Cop - but that movie wasn't set on the Fourth of July either...

Hope you have had a safe and sane Independence Day, and until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!
