Saturday Night at the Movies 3/22/14!

Who cares what picture we see?

I do, dammit, and considering what I'm up to this weekend, this makes for a very... logical... choice...

This is a cute movie, although co-writer Mark Altman still owes me money for that Paul Winfield interview. But the whole show here is The Shat - playing a slightly loonier version of himself - and proving to be another former leading man whose appeal grows even further when he starts to take himself less seriously and poke fun at his image.

I have this very edition of the DVD - and we could be spinning it at anytime you felt like coming to see it with me - even tonight.

Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

  1. It's amazing that Shatner, as big a star as he is, doesn't take himself too seriously. This movie sounds fun Craig..

    1. I think there was a time when he very most definitely took himself very seriously - but then, like Leslie Nielsen before him - hit a certain age and realized there was a lot of entertainment to be had going for a lighter touch. And this weekend marked a milestone as I actually got a moment with the man himself!
