The Video Vault of Mora Tau 3/7/13!

I've had the Monkees on my mind recently - I've loved those guys since I discovered the TV show in reruns after school. As I've listened to more and more of their music - I am impressed that they worked together as they did - with four distinct musical styles taking turns in their songs.

With that in mind let's dig up what I consider the best song from each of the four Monkees. These choices may change next week - but right now these are my choices.

Davy Jones
"Daydream Believer"

Peter Tork
"Your Auntie Grizelda"

Mike Nesmith
"Some of Shelly's Blues"

Micky Dolenz
"Goin' Down"

Man I love the Monkees!

Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

    1. It is - I have in the last couple of months added both TV seasons and the movie Head to the video vault - so we are fully prepared for a Monkees Marathon at any time!

  3. I love the Monkees! I watched their show back in the 60s when I was in grade school. They were so groovy! Mike was my fave back then because I liked the laid back, quiet type. And I loved his signature cap. When I got older, I dug Micky the most. My fave Monkees tune is Last Train to Clarksville. Thanks for the memories.

  4. I love the Godzilla pic too! The Monkees could never work as solo acts. They're awesome as a group.
