If you're a regular visitor to this blog - you're surely well aware that I am an unabashed fan of all things Friday the 13th - and yet not one of the movies - well represented in the video vault - have appeared here as a Saturday night movie.
Remedied.
Besides - it's Saturday the 13th. Seems appropriate somehow.
It's old school slasher mayhem - it's Ultimate Final Girl Adrienne King - it's Sean Cunningham's clever direction of Victor Miller's sly script featuring Tom Savini's stunning makeup effects and Harry Manfredini's iconic score - and it's on DVD in two different special editions - with and without the additional ten seconds of gore only the Japanese got to see back in 1980...
...that means we could be sitting on our ki-ki-ki's and watching its ma-ma-ma's any time - even tonight - if you felt like braving the darkness of the night to come watch it with me!
