Saturday Night at the Movies 11/26/11!

Who cares what picture we see?

There's not an iota of doubt in my mind that Michael Ansara does, so in his honor I've gone with this one:

In the decade before he became the cinematic Master of Disaster, Irwin Allen could still get a good screenful of calamity going as this old fashioned adventure flick shows! It's also the kind of movie that used to play on Thanksgiving and the day after on local channels.

And now it resides in the video vault in a fine remastered DVD form. You are there - if you are here - like say, tonight - to watch this one with me!

Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

  1. I loved this movie and the old television series. Irwin Allen really did produce some fine disaster flicks. The Towering Inferno was one of my dad's faves along with The Poseidon Adventure. I loved the old TV series Lost In Space. "Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!"

  3. MB - yeah, ol' Irwin gave us a lot of goofy and fun entertainment over the years! The Robot resides on a shelf about four feet behind me even as we speak! And you know I love the Disaster Movies of the 70's!

Maynard - I love that German title! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie - it is a fun old Saturday afternoon type movie for a rainy day!
