The Video Vault of Mora Tau! 10/12/11

Going Trick or Treating as a kid back in the day was a wonderful experience - and Jerry Seinfeld captures several key moments in a bit of standup celebrating the last day in October...

Jer actually parlayed this round of his act into a children's book...here's a pic of the cover...

It's cute..and it comes with a recording of Jerry reading the book to you - in case your mind can't supply that distinctive voice...

How about a promo for a night of terror on ABC in October 1976? Did you know they made a TV movie sequel to Rosemary's Baby? Did you know that TV movie was preceded by an incredible hour of television known as The Paul Lynde Halloween Special?

And because that doesn't show quite enough of how wonderfully awful that Paul Lynde special was, here's another brief clip:

And that will put a -Fin- on this one...until next post...roughly 23.95 hours from now...you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!

  1. OMG!!! Paul Lynde and the Devil together on ABC, the family values network. LOL See, now that the Mouse owns the network you just don't get fun shit like this anymore.

  2. Love the Seinfeld Halloween bit! His humor is so relateable. Good times. Paul Lynde was always so funny...great comedian.

  3. Aaarghh, I've seen this Rosemary's Baby sequel last year on YT - I daresay this is one of the worst and most redundant movies ever made.

  4. Mel B - Yeah - between stuff like this and Battle of the Network Stars, ABC was the place to be in the 70's! And just like Times Square - being bought by Disney takes all the adult fun out of it!

Luana - it's a terrific routine - his presentation of it in the book is so similar, it gives a good indication of how much work goes in to being able to have stuff sound off the cuff...

    Joe - ...

Maynard - I saw it in a late night repeat in the late 70's one summer night - I don't remember one thing about it - so it couldn't have been good. There were some terrific TV horror movies back then - this just wasn't one of them!
