PSA A Go Go! 9/23/11
In the interests of using an announcement to serve the public, here's a public service announcement.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.
And until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!
Oh my God!! I just watch a marathon of some of the old Sherlock Holmes films they did. Pursuit to Algiers, Terror by Night and The Woman in Green. Great stuff. Nigel Bruce was a farely bumbling Watson, but he did have his moments. LOL
MB - how serendipitous! I love Rathbone and Bruce - and like you - I know Doyle's Watson wasn't a bumbler like Bruce's characterization - but the movies needed a little comedy relief - and he served an important purpose - he let the audience feel smarter than someone in the picture - since Holmes pretty much has us all beat in the brains department - and to me, it makes the moments when Watson is called on to provide serious medical info all the more effective. Thanks for coming by!
