The Video Vault of Mora Tau! 3/11/11

It's time to make our way through the dusty shelves...to find a clip to make us laugh heartily or scratch our heads in wonder...what will it be tonight?

Hm, how about, remind us of some TV we watched back in the day? During last week's clip I namechecked one of my favorite shows of the 80's - Hardcastle and McCormick - thanks to a bonus at work I just added all three seasons to my video vault - which by the way, is not the Video Vault of Mora Tau - just sayin'...anyway, here's the opening credits to season one of this fun show - and take note - in the old days sometimes the narrator would set the show up for you, just like he does here:

Now that's an opening sequence! Some observations - the stunt where the Coyote car goes under the semi? Amazing! How about the Guns on Brian Keith? Dude was pretty ripped in his 60's!

For some reason, when the show returned for season two it had a whole new credit sequence - new show clips, and new song! However, unlike some shows (*coughMonkcough*), the viewer mail started rolling in, and the producers actually listened - sometime during that season the song switched back. Here's that opening:

The third season kept the original theme song but again gave us a new set of clips to watch. Here it is:

Yes, it was formulaic Stephen Cannell 80's action - and sometimes that got cheesy - but the real chemistry Brian Keith and Daniel Hugh Kelly had took this show far beyond its origins. I will watch this show anytime - so let me know if you want to come see some with me!

And til next time, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!
