And nine tana leaves is the way to make the brew that is true...but only two played Kharis - Tyler and Chaney - Karloff was playing Imhotep who masqueraded as Ardath Bey...they kind of retconned the original story when Kharis came aboard in 1940. And then, so does the personality.<br /><br />If you'd asked, I would have said it was all about the eyes and body language in this role. But there's a lot more to it than that.
